So here is my frustration with ICC. The question about pathways for photovoltaic systems. You look up photovoltaic and it refers you to R907. You go to 907 and it refers you to NFPA 70. You look at NFPA70 and get no walkway info. The ICC info is listed under solar. In reading the question it is wildly misleading not using the word solar. This is a regular theme trying to learn the structure of the book. Often you are led to an area which does not yield good information. In this case how am I to know to go to Solar Energy system when the question uses the term Photovoltaic and it leads you nowhere. I spent no less than 15 min trying to find the info for min depth of footings. Your answer referenced 403.1.4.1 which did not give the information and 403.1.4.2 which does not exist. I did not think to go backwards to 403.1.4 at the end of your description card. When you have 90 seconds to answer a question this is a problem!

You have the best videos I have seen for inspections. You have an act for it, good voice tone when explaining as well. Quick question: I noticed you carry a shoulder bag with you and a tool bag I saw on the floor. I'm not a fan of a lot of the tool bags out there, do you like the ones you use and would you recommend either? We carry a good handful or two of tools on each job but they don't make specific bags for all the types of tools we use. They are usually specific for electricians or carpenters etc

This is why you shop around for inspectors bc not all will care about cosmetics but you can claim and have them fixed so don’t listen to this guy

Internachi termite cert does nothing for Fl inspectors. You have to basically be certified exterminator to do WDO here.

I took ICA classes and just recently took the NHIE and passed. I don't have a construction background so as a member would they be able to help setup a way were you could shadow other members to help learn the trade?

There are some homes for sale, but there is so little inventory in the Northeast that every sale is a bidding war and inspectors are fighting over scraps and low ballers. Thank god I don't do this full time. When you see 3,000 SF homes getting inspected for $349 with Radon, you know it's bad out there.

There are no jobs in home inspection in Ontario do not waste time and money on the education

How about when your ladder rubbing the paint off the gutter or when you pop the old drip edge off and add new so you can't tell its a overlay

How we deal with other inspectors that chargers less than a half for the same service we offer. Example most of Internachi member I know, 4 point $169, Wind Mitigation $169 and combo $249. A few others from Internachi and some other sources, charging $99 each and $149 combo. Fair or not?
